Official Invitation Letter

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the UEMS Division of Transplant Surgery Board, we are pleased to announce the forthcoming elections for the Executive Board, covering the mandate from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2029. We warmly invite eligible colleagues to submit their candidatures and actively contribute to the continued development of our division.

The election will include the positions of Chairman-elect, three Executive Board Members, (two Secretaries, one responsible for the Examination and one for the Preparatory Course, and a Treasurer). The role of Chairman-elect is reserved for current or former members of the Board, while the other positions are open to National Delegates, as well as FEBS (Transplant Surgery) of the UEMS member countries, who have actively participated in UEMS activities. Active participation should be demonstrated through measurable contributions such as examining, organizing, in at least one official Division activity.

Applications must include a Curriculum Vitae and a short motivation letter describing the candidate’s contributions and vision for the Division. Candidates are kindly requested to clearly indicate the position(s) for which they are applying (Chairman elect or Executive Board Member). The deadline for submission is 30 September 2025, and applications should be sent to the UEMS Section of Surgery Office.

The Board will review all applications to confirm eligibility. In mid-October, the final list of candidates will be published and circulated to National Delegates, together with candidate CVs and motivation letters, to allow an informed voting process. Voting will remain open until 31 October 2025, and only National Delegates are entitled to vote. Results will be announced in early November, and the newly elected Board will formally assume office on 1 January 2026.
