Fellows of the European Board of Surgery
The EBSQ examination leads to the title of Fellow of European Board of Surgery (F.E.B.S.). This conferment is a significant high-level indication of professional competence and excellence, and represents an acknowledgement of knowledge, skills and professionalism, at European level.
The Fellowship of the UEMS is becoming increasingly prestigious among professionals and institutions.
The examination and subsequent conferment of the title of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery have a single objective: to help each and every European surgeon in his/her professional career, by providing through the UEMS, in collaboration with its surgical society, the tools for professional advancement.
The fellows for each of the Divisions, Working groups, Multidisciplinary Joint Committee and European Boards of the UEMS Section of Surgery are:
- Breast surgery
- Surgical oncology
- Endocrine (and neck endocrine) surgery
- Emergency surgery
- General surgery
- HPB surgery
- Coloproctology
- Upper gastro-intestinal surgery (MJC in collaboration with the UEMS Section of Thoracic Surgery)
- Trauma surgery
- Abdominal wall surgery
- Minimally invasive surgery
- Transplant surgery
- For the other Boards of the Division of Transplantation, the title conferred is:
- Fellow of the European Board of Transplant medicine
- Fellow of the European Board of Transplant immunology
- Fellow of the European Board of Transplant coordination
