Passing of Xavier Rogiers

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of passing of Professor Xavier Rogiers.

Xavier was an innovative HPB and transplant surgeon. He was one of the founders of the UEMS divisions of Transplant Surgery and HPB Surgery.

He was a kind and inspiring colleague always ready to help and give great advise to younger surgeons. Xavier loved liver surgery and his profession, and dedicated his precious time educating the new generation of surgeons in our field.

Xavier was a great friend to all of us and we will miss him dearly.
