The webinar is now available on YouTube! Hosted by the Division of Trauma Surgery, Prof. Dr. Martin Hessmann will talk about the pre- and in-hospital management of unstable pelvic ring fractures. The talk will be moderated by Pol Maria Rommens.
Unstable fractures of the pelvic ring represent a life-threatening situation for severely injured patients. Common associated soft tissue lesions are addressed and medical treatment options are outlined.
Management strategies for definitive fracture fixation are described. Having attended this webinar, participants will be able to recognize causes of early and late death in severe pelvic trauma. They will be able to apply a treatment strategy for early fracture management and to plan definitive internal fixation in order to improve early and late outcome.
